Chris Maxwell

Quality Assurance Manager

City and Guilds 7307, 2 NVQs (grade 4 & 5) in Human Resource Management, Classroom Assistants course. Chris is a Community Governor (Vice-Chair) of the local Special School. Joined 1992. Chris trains our fieldworkers and manages their supervision, support and development.

Cathy Bow

Resources Manager

B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics with Management Applications. Before joining Think Children Cathy had worked as a financial / market analyst within the manufacturing sector as well a statistician in a variety of sectors from service to local government. Cathy joined in 1999 and has helped to oversee the rapid growth of Think Children during the past 20 years. Cathy is responsible for managing our financial resources, payroll, school partnerships and ensuring effective deployment of facilitators to meet contractual needs.

Cathy has been a volunteer within the Scout organisation for over 20 years being a leader in most age group sections before taking the lead on large international events. Seeing the life skills gained and self-esteem achieved by young people through adventure is what has kept Cathy involved. In her spare time Cathy loves the outdoors and enjoys walking, preferably in the mountains, cycling and generally keeping fit.

Wendy Walton-Towle

Development Manager

Ex Emotional Well Being Facilitator, Wendy has 19 years public relations and marketing experience for a leading high street bank. Wendy joined us in 1999 and now manages funding, marketing, networking and is PA to the Chair. Her interests are playing badminton, where she represents Nottinghamshire as well as being an avid walker. Wendy has volunteered in various roles in Scouting since 1998 where her present positions are District Secretary and Activity Lead for Hiking.

Geoff Bow


Geoff has a degree in Electrical Engineering & Electronics and spent over 35 years in the electricity industry in a number of technical and management roles including IT systems and accounting.
Having volunteered within the Scout organisation for over 20 years Geoff is currently the Newark District treasurer and part of the activities team.

For many years Geoff has been a general handyman for Think Children but latterly has a more formal volunteer role in developing and updating the website alongside providing IT support. In his spare time Geoff enjoys keeping fit and extending his computer coding knowledge.

Sarah Habermass


BA (Hons). Sarah joined Think Children in 2009 and has over 25 years experience in PR and marketing in both the commercial and voluntary sector. She is currently a volunteer for the charity, helping out with social media marketing and PR after relocating to London in 2020. Sarah is also a trustee of the local RSPCA and has a keen interest in photography.
