Bail Out! Join us for our big June FUNDRAISER

On Saturday 18th June 2016 the Newark and Sherwood Children’s Charities Group will be holding a Bail Out fundraiser. This event will be raising money for four local children’s charities: CASY Home Start Think Children Children’s Bereavement Centre The event will start in The Ram pub at 2pm before the prisoners and two of the volunteers will then move to Newark Market Place at 2.45 for a fake arrest at 3pm. The prisoners will then be escorted to Newark Castle where they will be locked up and released once they have raised the minimum amount of bail money required, currently set at £1000. Once the clock hits 7pm they will automatically be released and there will be a section in The Ram pub to meet for a celebratory drink. The bail money will be raised by each prisoner before the event by setting up JustGiving pages, text number donations and sponsorship forms. During the event the money will be raised by text donations, social media pleas and collection buckets at the castle manned by volunteers from each of the four charities.
