We implement enhanced DBS checks throughout the organisation. Our comprehensive set of policies & procedures (with training & monitoring) cover child protection, data handling, whistle blowing and a wide range of other safeguards.
Think Children undertakes accredited training of all front line workers and carries out regular mandatory supervisions. Our services are scrutinised by a Quality Assurance Manager and an independent consultant. We carry out external professional evaluation and follow up on outcomes.
In January 2018, we were PQASSO Quality mark at Level 1. This is the only charity sector performance evaluation system and quality mark that addresses all the essential areas necessary for the effective management and governance of a charity or other third sector organisation.
It is widely recognised as providing a comprehensive framework for running an effective, qaulity organisation as it offers external verification of being fit for purpose in all areas essential to commissioners as well as greater recognition and credibility from stratutory and independent funders, users and other stakeholders.
We are accountable to stakeholders through feedback from children, parents and schools. We carry out extensive networking with the community and other agencies and diversity monitoring against demographic data. In addition we provide feedback to funders, our annual report and accounts are submitted to the Charity Commissioners and all our Trustees are elected at our AGM or co-opted in accordance with constitution rules.
Think Children’s accountability framework embraces a comprehensive set of policies & procedures covering human, financial & organisational issues. These are supplemented by manager’s reports and staff appraisals.
Think Children work to an assurance framework with associated strategic and business plans. We undertake board development where relevant to this, and have a participative management style.
