Support for Think Children

Think Children’s service for local children received a much-needed boost in the last month from two community fundraising events. A Boots No.7 beauty evening and quiz held at Newark RAFA club on June 16th and a cake sale at Barclays on June 24th raised a combined total of £818. We are so grateful to the RAFA Club who organised our quiz evening, the fantastic beauty session run by staff from Boots Newark, staff at Barclays, the deputy mayor of Newark, Mr Martyn Cleasby, who came along to offer his support and the general public for their generous donations. Money raised at events such as these directly benefit local children who may be struggling to cope with situations such as family breakdown, parental separation, bullying, bereavement, domestic violence and low self-esteem.
